Strark Realization about Leftists’ Wuthering Economics

The real question according to Walter Starck is whether Climatism’s AGW True Believers, are destined to be rendered into harmless fools or dangerous fanatics, who have now moved on from destroying the culture to demolishing the economies of the West.

The use by the AGW True Believers of natural variations in the weather — whether climate changes from hot to cold or vice versa just so long as there is some disaster somewhere — to stir the pot, to incite fear and to indict the West and any industrious man for crimes against all species is really pathetic.

The pathetic attempt by climate alarmists to try to use the floods to revive attention and credibility smacks of desperation. ~Walter Starck

Facts are facts: Starck says not one “shred of credible evidence exists to indicate a causal relationship between any extreme weather events and anthropogenic climate change and there is no evidence for any increase in the frequency or intensity of such events which is outside the bounds of historical variability.”

Margaret Thatcher said, “Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other people’s money. It’s quite a characteristic of them.” The fall of the blue states will move especially quickly if the federal hegemony over human activities is supplanted by a greater state autonomy. This could happen if the secular, socialist Big Government’s use of the Commerce Clause to diminish personal liberty becomes a dead man walking and if the peoples’ right to keep what they earn is reaffirmed.

…The ongoing push to squander billions of dollars and sacrifice our economies on the altar of climate change is dangerous nonsense. Like sundry other isms, Climatism is a triumph of belief over evidence, of righteousness over reason. ~Walter Starck

About Wagathon

Hot World Syndrome—fear of a hotter, more intimidating world than it actually is prompting a desire for more protection than is warranted by any actual threat. A Chance Meeting– We toured south along the Bicentennial Bike Trail in the Summer of 1980, working up appetites covering ~70 miles per day and staying at hiker/biker campgrounds at night along the Oregon/California coast (they were 50¢ a day at that time). The day's ride over, and after setting up tents, hitting the showers, and making a run to a close-by store, it was time to relax. The third in our little bicycle tour group, Tom, was about 30 yards away conversing with another knot of riders and treating himself to an entire cheesecake for dinner. He probably figured Jim and I would joke about what a pig he was eating that whole pie and decided to eat among strangers. Three hours later after sharing stories and remarking on a few coincidences that turned up here and there, Tom and one of the former strangers realized they were cousins, meeting in this most unlikely place for the first time. ~Mac

I agree that climatism is a big danger, but I’m not sure if arguing about causal relationships is the right way to attack them.
Whether the alarmists are correct or not, they are making a big mistake assuming that, *if* it is true that AGW threatens our future, the only way to address the issue is by crippling the world economy, nationalizing industries and subsidizing others.

Imagine if AGW is just like the doomsayers predict. Are we to believe that handing over totalitarian control to the UN would fix the problem? It’s this socialist streak, and not the scientific evidence or lack thereof, that is the biggest hole in climatist dogma.
