Clinging to dogma and their failed secular, socialist ideology and their tactics of denial and dominating discourse as a means to achieve their political agenda, and their eager willingness to trample the liberties of others — and the triumph of superstition over reason that their actions exemplify — is pretty much what we have seen the Left do to the culture and to society. Fear of global warming is like worrying about the Earth having a fever.
The anti-intellectualism of academia is on display when they refuse to admit any facts that contradict their preconceived conclusion that humanity is causing global warming and when they use science to hide their true motives. Climatism’s global warming alarmists continue to cling to the ‘hockey stick’ and that is a proven scientific fraud.
Climatists claim their forecasts are accurate but not until 30-50 or more years from now. The only supports for their claims are essentially weather forecasting models on steroids. Mathematical models cannot be offered as proof of their climate predictions; believing they can can means the science of climatology amounts to nothing more than gazing into crystal balls to determine the future. It also means the science of climatology should be accorded the seriousness and trust that you would give to face reading, palmistry, phrenology and the ancient science of astrology to make decisions.
Modern ground based and satellite measurements, climate history data and geological data all point to the fact that when it becomes warmer, the high latitudes rise much more in temperature than the tropics. This can only be the result of increased heat transfer from the tropics pole ward. Established physical transport phenomena science lets us quantify this heat transfer and its dependence on surface temperature. The result is a much larger negative feedback than the positive sum of feedbacks incorporated in the known climate models. This large negative feedback should be incorporated into these models. The result would be that the climate sensitivity is reduced tenfold. A doubling of the CO2 concentration has such a small temperature effect, that this is indiscernible from all other effects. ~Dr. Noor van Andel
What is it that really motivates the continued self deception of the deniers of industrial man and Western civilization? Obviously, climate change is as natural in the West as it is in the rest of the world where concerns about global warming do not exist. The same deniers of reality that weather and by extension the climate are natural are the same people who spent years demonizing capitalism and labeled the economic recovery at the beginning of the presidency of George Bush as nothing more than “hamburger flipping” jobs. It is not hard to see that the True Believers of global warming alarmism have a history: they are the culture destroyers.
Blind fears that global warming is a problem caused by people who go to work everyday to pay the country’s bills and only schoolteachers can save us from their free enterprise and capitalistic ways is a symptom of a big problem. We are living in a seriously disordered society and the symptoms of that disorder is the anxiety and fear, hypochondria and hysteria, obsessive-compulsive behaviors and phobias we see on display all around us. It does not matter that global warming has been exposed as a hoax. We live in a society that wants to be deceived.
The Left no longer serves any function in American society other than as antagonists to the moral levee. The Left has become more the cheerleaders of failure. The bottomless antipathy that the Left brings to Democrat politics with its hatred of business and its demonization of Judeo/Christian principles and the perpetual blame game that essentially brands all things debatable and negotiable is why the West is dying. The Left fears the truth. But, giving truth value is what lies at the heart of the principles of a free country, a free enterprise and rational individualism, which is the most humane basis upon which to build a civil socio-economic system. Emerson would laugh at today’s Left:
