The Performance Art of Global Warming

In Chapter 15 (Religion as an Original Sin) Hitchens writes:

This pathetic moral spectacle would not be necessary if the original rules were ones that it would be possible to obey. But to the totalitarian edicts that begin with revelation from absolute authority, and that are enforced by fear, and based on a sin that had been committed long ago, are added regulations that are often immoral and impossible at the same time. The essential principle of totalitarianism is to make laws that are impossible to obey. The resulting tyranny is even more impressive if it can be enforced by a privileged caste or party which is highly zealous in the detection of error. Most of humanity, throughout its history, has dwelt under a form of this stupefying dictatorship, and a large portion of it still does. To me Slothrop’s comment shows more insight than counting hyphens or suggesting to others an attempt to trick readers into taking a Turing Test. In reality, we have plummeted past the Space Age—and right through the Communication Age—only to crater in the Age of Marshall McLuhan. The Medium is the Message.

The 9 of 10 who voted to blackball the OP below—abusing the Amazon voting system to censor and delete topics they felt went against their beliefs (and interests)—in the end, didn’t work. At the time of the voting abuse by a few Leftist camp followers was  irredeemable proof of the Message at that time. And, the passage of time now presents us with a different Message.

How is it now about a year and a half later? What we now see is 12 more votes and 5 of them joined the 1 so now the Leftists’ hex has been removed, at least temporarily (that’s the imbedded rules of the Amazon system).

Was it not the intellectual dishonesty of the 90% of the first 10 votes — cast by those who came onto a thread to rule and enforced their will over others — the real Message back then? It is in concert with extant ‘rules’ and the ignorance and acquiescence of others that the few were permitted to reinforce the bigotry of the consensus—which in this instance was as follows: it was ruled that the OP of a thread did not add to the discussion of the thread itself and shall not be seen?

What it really meant back then is that 90% of the people who voted did not have the capacity to cast an honest vote and showed they were willing to proactively act in concert to hide reality from public view. Their act was a summary of what has become of society but now it is not hidden from view. We cannot help but see that the behavior of those who promote global warming alarmism is quite unlike, for example, anything people who respect Judeo/Christian traditions would ever do to prevent those with opposing views from having their say—even if it amounts to parading around as art, a crucifix in a glass of the artist’s pee. In business that sort of collusion would be a violation of antitrust laws which I think is an interesting double-standard in as much as the Left hates business. And, even more interesting, we have evidence that full advantage of this type of collusion was utilized to fuel the global warming alarmist hoax.

What we saw then is an example democratic discourse that is anything but. In reality, global warming is political not scientific discourse. The only science is in an analysis of the motivation underlying the “No” voters who can never take back their votes: we know what they are even if we do not know who they are. The Leftists cannot take back the glimpse they have given us as they vote behind the Wizard’s curtain of deep liberal fascism.

What the Left does—as has been so obvious and famously observed by Marshall McLuhan—will forever speak louder than anything they ever say; they have turned English into a liars language. That is the Message: without truth we have nothing.

Humanity has seen this before.

We have learned about deniers of humanity and reason from Alexander Solzhenitsyn in his account of the Soviet Gulag. Caught up in their machinations and now caught in their web of deception, we see no end to how their story changes to minimize their complicity and guilt in spreading all of the lies about global warming.

They try to explain away all of the awkward facts just like so many German citizens sought to avoid the truth and refused to know the fate of the Jews. The governmental-education complex, which is fascist to the core, can no longer avoid the evil truth of their relationship with the haters of Americanism and the principles of individual liberty. Leftist-lib Academia’s complicity and role in facilitating the AGW-evildoers must be seen for what it really is: an example of liberal fascism and man’s inhumanity to man.
