Romney Survives Culture of American Derangement

You Must Need Government Help–Push Red Button

From the bottomless antipathy the Left brings to politics with its hatred of capitalism and love of the blame-game we can now look forward to Romney meme replacing the ole blame-Bush meme. The blame Judeo/Christian morality meme can now be updated to incorporate references to chicken thieves and necromancers among early Mormons. After all, modern politics amounts to little more than branding everything debatable that cannot be hidden or ignored. Everything is negotiable if it cannot simply be commanded by government fiat or dressed up and passed off as settled science. A government job is better than any other job and jobless government dependency is great for the climate.

The takers outnumber the makers

~Heidi Harris

The Left fears the truth. But, giving truth value is what lies at the heart of the principles of free enterprise and rational individualism which is the only humane basis upon which to build a civil socio-economic system. The Left no longer serves any function in American society other than as antagonists to the moral levee. The Left–which has become more the cheerleaders of failure than of hope and success–live in a world of delusion where being nothing more than hectoring gadflies is their indispensable contribution to society.

Emerson would laugh at today’s Left: “The tendency of things runs steadily to this point, namely, to put every man on his merits, and to give him so much power as he naturally exerts–no more, no less.”

Climatists—i.e., the secular socialists of Western academia—will tell you that global warming is Made in America. It is as if their hatred of capitalism and the country’s Judeo/Christian heritage alone were proof of what and who really caused the violent changes in the weather they observed here or there.

That natural climate variability can explain everything we see in the climate system means nothing to people who are deranged whether they are German citizens who are unconcerned about the plight of the Jews in the 1930s or government workers who are unconcerned about the taxpayers who provide the blood, sweat and sacrifice that pays for everything the Left consumes.

AGW is not a problem it is a symptom of a problem. The claimed ‘consensus’ concerning global warming is really just the opinion of those who have been destroying the culture, society and science all along.

Ignorance and blindness in regard to the gods divides itself at the very beginning into two streams, of which the one produces in hardened characters, as it were in stubborn soils, atheism, and the other in tender characters, as in moist soils, produces superstition. Every false judgement, and especially concerning these matters, is a mischievous thing; but where emotion also enters, it is most mischievous. For every emotion is likely to be a delusion that rankles; and just as dislocations of the joints accompanied by lacerations are hardest to deal with, so also is it with derangements of the soul accompanied by emotion. About Wagathon

Hot World Syndrome—fear of a hotter, more intimidating world than it actually is prompting a desire for more protection than is warranted by any actual threat. A Chance Meeting– We toured south along the Bicentennial Bike Trail in the Summer of 1980, working up appetites covering ~70 miles per day and staying at hiker/biker campgrounds at night along the Oregon/California coast (they were 50¢ a day at that time). The day's ride over, and after setting up tents, hitting the showers, and making a run to a close-by store, it was time to relax. The third in our little bicycle tour group, Tom, was about 30 yards away conversing with another knot of riders and treating himself to an entire cheesecake for dinner. He probably figured Jim and I would joke about what a pig he was eating that whole pie and decided to eat among strangers. Three hours later after sharing stories and remarking on a few coincidences that turned up here and there, Tom and one of the former strangers realized they were cousins, meeting in this most unlikely place for the first time. ~Mac
