Global Warming a Bizaare Science

Modern-day Helena

Most everything we know, our minute-by-minute real knowledge of the world — an enveloping understanding rooted in our liver and eliciting responses like goose bumps to a sudden cool draft on the back of our neck — we learned from ancient Greeks. What we really know is what they mostly talked about for hundreds of years but never actually wrote down.

Let’s remember back on the birth of Western knowledge in the context of the most recent hot and cold climates on Earth—e.g., there was an 800-year warm period that peaked about 2100 years ago. The peak was a couple of centuries after a number of Jewish families led by Moses fled Egypt (the Exodus), maybe… 1,313 years before the birth of Christ (BC). After warming peaked there was about 500 years of cooling until the average global temperature would have been about what it is today. After that, cooling continued for another 250 years; and, then temperatures rose over the next 250 years, to about what they are today.

This period of 500 years ending around 0 BC of a relatively cold global climate on Earth (compared to today’s temperatures) comprises the Grecian period. After that, Western civilization was carried forward by the Romans during a warming period of more than 500 years.

After the Roman warming period there was another period of global cooling (the Dark Ages), and then warming again (the Medieval Warm Period), and then cooling again (the Little Ice Age), followed by the latest warming (after the 18th century).

On longer time scales, the sun has shown considerable variability, including the long Maunder Minimum… For example, during the 70-year period from 1645 to 1715, few, if any, sunspots were seen, even during expected sunspot maximums. Western Europe entered a climate period known as the “Maunder Minimum” or “Little Ice Age.” Temperatures dropped by 1.8 to 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit. ~wiki

During all of humanity’s existence the average global temperature had no more meaning that an average of all the telephone numbers in NYC. Fly a dozen climatists to the top of Mt. Everest, for example, and leave them there until they realize that the official temperature of the official temperature grid that contains the top of Mt. Everest and the average global temperature of all such grids is totally meaningless to their survival. This experiment will be over in minutes.

All of our knowledge — outside the real knowledge that comes to us outside of books — we come to via the scientific testing of hypotheses to arrive at scientific theories about how things work. There’s hypothesis and then there is theory and then there is climate science which is simply scientific fraud. After Michael Mann’s simplistic manufactured ‘hockey stick’ view of climate as adopted by the UN-IPCC (where there is no warming or cooling prior to the late 20th century), none need worry any longer about the lack of education in America’s dropout factories. Rather, we must all worry about what is being taught there.

What is climate? Is it anything like in a poem by Mary Oliver, “solid, like iron? Or is it tender and breakable, like the wings of a moth in the beak of the owl?” No, it’s all politics.

The global warming debate is way past the use of Mann’s hockey stick by the US-hating UN-IPCC and the Eurocommies. It’s about the facilitators of the lie — by an entrenched and entitled government education special interest group and by Democrat politicians who acting together have done far more than anything else ever could to subvert all of the lofty ideals of Americanism.

The hockey stick embodies what is called the ‘nature trick’ that was carried out by a merry band of conspirators at CRU (Climatic Research Unit – University of East Anglia). It was learned late in 2009 how these CRUgate conspirators tried ‘to hide the decline’ and use science to commit a fraud upon us simple folk.

In conclusion, it is clear that the Mann et al. (1999) ‘hockey stick’ is nothing more than a mathematical construct vigorously promoted in the IPCC’s 2001 report to affirm the notion that temperature changes of the twentieth century were unprecedented. The validity of this has been soundly challenged and sufficient evidence exists to disprove it. ~Bulletin of Canadian Petroleum Geology, 50;2 (June, 2002)

If changes in atmospheric CO2 really were related to climate change, why would Michael Mann, et al., feel compelled to, as Mark Steyn observed, truncate, misrepresent and strategically edit the data to hide the decline? The UN-IPCC bought the fraud, it bought Mann and in the end, it bought the farm.

Since the predictions of a coming ice age in the 1970s the only warming that has occurred in the late 20th century is in the blue urban heat islands of Leftist liberal Utopia where the productive sweat to keep the government bureaucracy comfortable while  meeting in Cancun, sipping margaritas during cold European winters, where Al Gore and the Eurocommies gather to figure out how to save the world from capitalism and the evil business of living.

In the worst case, climate change could cut crop yields in Africa in half. Yet yields would increase tenfold — in the same climate, on the same soil — if subsistence farmers started using crops and techniques pioneered on experimental farms. Climate change may be a big issue in Africa. But it is not nearly as important as lack of tenure, poor roads, roving warlords an so on. ~Richard Tol (Bogus prophecies of doom will not fix the climate, 31 March 2014)

Only Al Gore knows the future… because, he helped invent it! But, why should anyone trust corrupted data. Real knowledge informs us of a different reality. “Whenever Solar Radiation has Decreased and Volcanic Activity has Increased, global temperatures Suddenly Plummet, often within weeks or months.”  (See graph)

our worries must be put into a context as there are endless matters to worry about, practically all of them impossible to predict. Just move yourself backward in time exactly 100 years and try to foresee the evolution in the world for the following 100 years. ~Lennart Bengtsson

About Wagathon

Hot World Syndrome—fear of a hotter, more intimidating world than it actually is prompting a desire for more protection than is warranted by any actual threat. A Chance Meeting– We toured south along the Bicentennial Bike Trail in the Summer of 1980, working up appetites covering ~70 miles per day and staying at hiker/biker campgrounds at night along the Oregon/California coast (they were 50¢ a day at that time). The day's ride over, and after setting up tents, hitting the showers, and making a run to a close-by store, it was time to relax. The third in our little bicycle tour group, Tom, was about 30 yards away conversing with another knot of riders and treating himself to an entire cheesecake for dinner. He probably figured Jim and I would joke about what a pig he was eating that whole pie and decided to eat among strangers. Three hours later after sharing stories and remarking on a few coincidences that turned up here and there, Tom and one of the former strangers realized they were cousins, meeting in this most unlikely place for the first time. ~Mac
