Insuperable Problem of AGW Unexpectedly Solved

Deus ex machina

Concerning ourselves over perceived global warming measured in tenths of a degree over decades is ridiculous when you consider that, even a rapid climate change – i.e., rapid in a geophysical sense – would not be that noticeable on a human timescale. An inexorably slow amount of global warming even if caused by humanity or for whatever the reasons might be is of no practical concern to the living. Rather, it’s a catastrophic gobsmacking like a meteor landing in Miami that could be worrisome. And even then, what could humanity realistically do in the event of a large and abrupt change in climate due to some natural catastrophe over which we humans have no control, such as has actually happened before in Earth’s history?

Geological records corroborate ancient myths and legends reporting that the Earth’s ice-age ended abruptly in a period of excessive warmth… At the height of the Bølling-Allerød period [at the end of the Oldest Dryas, c. 14,700-12,700 years ago], winter temperatures in the British Isles had increased by 25 degrees centigrade and summer temperatures by 8 degrees centigrade to levels typically found in that region today. In Chile, summer temperatures warmed by 12 degrees centigrade, reaching a level significantly higher than the average temperatures that have prevailed there during the present interglacial.” (Paul A. LaViolette, Earth Under Fire: Humanity’s Survival of the Ice Age)

Clintonian politics is clear: Hillary punches Obama’s ticket that, climate change is a greater threat to America than terrorism. That is the Democrat position and it may actually be true but only if climate change is viewed as homegrown high tech domestic terrorism involving the use of government resources in a manner that endangers all of us. And, global warming alarmism is in fact being used to intimidate the civilian population, influence government policy, curtail legitimate research through coercion and to destroy the energy industry and the economy.

Several large nuclear power plants were completed in the early 1970s at a typical cost of $170 million, whereas plants of the same size completed in 1983 cost an average of $1.7 billion, a 10-fold increase. Some plants completed in the late 1980s have cost as much as $5 billion, 30 times what they cost 15 years earlier… [Cohen, et al., Costs of Nuclear Power Plants – What Went Wrong?]

We can’t have it both ways. We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to an obvious demonstration of the real cost of too much government regulation as if only the Left in this country understands the true cost of nuclear energy. Why is it that only in America when making electricity, nuclear energy is considered the world’s most dangerous fuel? Why is it only in America that it is evil to make a profit from providing energy to those who use it to provide the rest of us the goods and services we need, enjoy and demand?

Rather than pushing the boundaries of human knowledge, most universities now churn out dreary, predictable research that nobody reads. ~Allister Heath (‘A refusal to think freely is making universities increasingly irrelevant’)

Heath says, “The vast majority of academics are of the Left–”  The climate debate isn’t hindering the economy but Leftists are. The taxpayer is paying for filing cabinets full of worthless global warming junk science. Remember when the Left eagerly turned out the industrial-military complex as being unneeded and too expensive? For the good of the country, the economy and to recapture needed integrity and honor in science, we see now that it is the government-education complex that’s due for serious downsizing.

It’s time for a meaningful rapprochement between public-funded academia and public benefit. When commenting on the change in his political philosophy — given that capitalism simply out-innovated other economic systems and without robbing the liberty of others — Christoper Hitchens stated, “I am no longer a socialist, but I still am a Marxist.” That’s not good enough. We must put an end to dhimmitude in Western academia and its forced conversions of scientific skeptics to the pagan god of global warming alarmism.

Death by thermageddon as prophesized by Al Gore never happened. Still, we’ve got to keep the global warming hoax alive. Meanwhile, the Sun remains anomalously quiet and Earth cools and we learn more about what lies beneath the surface of our culture, society and us.

Superstitious global warming alarmists are Western civilization’s hothouse flowers. They’ve never known misery, suffering and death from energy-deprivation. The end-of-the-world prognostications from the Left of global warming catastrophe that never came but, the Left never cared if they were right or wrong about that and it does not worry them that the EPA prefers politics to science.

Could it be that the leading global warming alarmists who have taken over Western academia are not really Americans at all but are driven instead by hatred of America and that, “this reality is proof that the global media itself is in the hands of the perpetrators?”

You must understand. The leading Bolsheviks who took over Russia were not Russians. They hated Russians. They hated Christians. Driven by ethnic hatred, they tortured and slaughtered millions of Russians without a shred of human remorse. The October Revolution was not what you call in America the “Russian Revolution.” It was an invasion and conquest over the Russian people. More of my countrymen suffered horrific crimes at their bloodstained hands than any people or nation ever suffered in the entirety of human history. It cannot be understated. Bolshevism was the greatest human slaughter of all time. The fact that most of the world is ignorant of this reality is proof that the global media itself is in the hands of the perpetrators ~Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Bolsheviks, aka Bolshevists, aka Bolsheviki –i.e., the majority: revolutionary socialists, aka Communists. Leftists! There’s your criminals. Although Leftists like Christopher Hitchens seem to have excused the methods the Bolsheviks employed to consolidate power as a necessary part of the Russian revolution, hopefully French philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre evolved enough before he died to appreciate error in such thinking as he witnessed Communist totalitarianism unfold under his nose.

In answer to the insolubility of the crushingly expensive and disastrously counter-productive non-problem of global warming — and, given that AGW is nothing but a hoax based on a theory that is motivated, invented and maintained by an evergreen coalition between government and the education complex to push a Leftist socio/political and ideological agenda — even outvoted college-educated Republicans may soon join the unrepresented productive in America in coming to realize that Donald Trump may be the only true, deus ex machina.

“So the fake 97 per cent consensus is no longer enough. These scientists are saying that, because there’s a supposed 97 per cent consensus among climate scientists, they don’t need a 51 per cent consensus from the electorate.”  Mark Steyn

NOAA and NASA have adjusted the past to make the present appear hotter, and thus supposedly demonstrated that in fact there is no such [two-decade global-warming] “pause.” As a result, public opinion, which no longer trusts the Big Climate enforcers to tell them what the climate will be like in 2050, now no longer trusts them to tell them what it was like in 1950. ~Mark Steyn (Ibid.)

…only three per cent of Americans regard climate change as their major concern. Three per cent. There is your 97 per cent consensus, gentlemen. ~Mark Steyn

About Wagathon

Hot World Syndrome—fear of a hotter, more intimidating world than it actually is prompting a desire for more protection than is warranted by any actual threat. A Chance Meeting– We toured south along the Bicentennial Bike Trail in the Summer of 1980, working up appetites covering ~70 miles per day and staying at hiker/biker campgrounds at night along the Oregon/California coast (they were 50¢ a day at that time). The day's ride over, and after setting up tents, hitting the showers, and making a run to a close-by store, it was time to relax. The third in our little bicycle tour group, Tom, was about 30 yards away conversing with another knot of riders and treating himself to an entire cheesecake for dinner. He probably figured Jim and I would joke about what a pig he was eating that whole pie and decided to eat among strangers. Three hours later after sharing stories and remarking on a few coincidences that turned up here and there, Tom and one of the former strangers realized they were cousins, meeting in this most unlikely place for the first time. ~Mac
