Global Warming Alarmism a Political Hoax?

Government grown too big to fail adds nothing!

The whole Russian collusion ‘thing’ was a hoax. A duly elected, sitting Republican US president fell victim to that hoax which was perpetrated and facilitated by the the Left and the MSM.

A touchstone conjecture underlying ‘Global Warming’ science known as the AGW hypothesis (that humanity’s CO2 is causing global warming), was a hoax. The entire society fell victim to that hoax which was perpetrated and facilitated by the Left and academia.

Interestingly enough, that the Clinton campaign illegally colluded to insert a Republican presidential nominee into a story about a Russian scheme to take over the US is not a hoax. Similarly, that ‘climate change’ is real, i.e. that climate changes for reasons that have nothing to do with humanity’s CO2, is not a hoax.

What do the two hoaxes and the two things that are not a hoax all have in common? Politics! Can we continue to trust a public education system that awards PhDs to those who believe their mathematical climate models are reliable providers of accurate, global temperature information 50 to 100 years into the future? Sure, sure it was to create ‘hockey sticks’ out of white noise that forecast doom around every corner but that’s not hard. The climatists of Western academia have only proven they have no shame.

Everything from global warming to vaccine hesitancy have become a Left vs right issue which means by definition, it’s all political science not natural science. There’s nowhere to hide — from global warming alarmism to anti-vaxx doomsday and the anti-capitalist agenda and liberal Utopianism underlying all of the counter-cultural agenda of the Left. The Left’s fix for all the problems they’ve caused is bigger government and a wholesale sacrifice of universal truths and the cultural loss of values. Turning a blind eye to the wisdom of common sense and the humanity of the founders of Americanism is the only sociopolitical strategy the Left can see and we have come to expect that. We might even lament that we now believe there is not a damn thing we can do about it except hold onto the one truth above all else that only the individual has any real meaning.

What’s called for now is wiser voters, for our own and also for so many others around the world who continue to beat a path to our doorstep. They really need more not less of what America should continue to hold dear: respect for the individual’s God-given right to be free. As Philip Stott wisely reminded us, “both geology and history show us that the idea of a stable climate is untenable; there has never been, and never will be, a stable climate under human control. All we can do is adapt to constant change.”

Basing policies on worries about ‘global warming’ is a serious threat to us all, but especially to the 1.6 billion people in the less-developed world who have no access to any modern form of energy. The twin curses of water poverty and energy poverty remain the true scandals.  ~Philip Stott

About Wagathon

Hot World Syndrome—fear of a hotter, more intimidating world than it actually is prompting a desire for more protection than is warranted by any actual threat. A Chance Meeting– We toured south along the Bicentennial Bike Trail in the Summer of 1980, working up appetites covering ~70 miles per day and staying at hiker/biker campgrounds at night along the Oregon/California coast (they were 50¢ a day at that time). The day's ride over, and after setting up tents, hitting the showers, and making a run to a close-by store, it was time to relax. The third in our little bicycle tour group, Tom, was about 30 yards away conversing with another knot of riders and treating himself to an entire cheesecake for dinner. He probably figured Jim and I would joke about what a pig he was eating that whole pie and decided to eat among strangers. Three hours later after sharing stories and remarking on a few coincidences that turned up here and there, Tom and one of the former strangers realized they were cousins, meeting in this most unlikely place for the first time. ~Mac
